Networking: Creating Communities for Your Research Life
Anmeldung bis 01.02.2027, 14:32
Target group:
Researchers of all career stages
Description:
You're an excellent researcher and a good colleague - but do enough people know this? Join this short but interactive workshop to brainstorm how you can cultivate a community for yourself that supports you and your ambitions, and that you can contribute to meaningfully.
The session outlines why researchers need networking for their career development. Johanna Stadlbauer, Head of the Research Careers Campus, gives practical examples of the benefits of good networking in academia, and engages the participants in developing strategies to feel more connected themselves and achieve goals through relationship building. The focus is on both relationships with scholars in your own career stage and relationships with more established colleagues.
The goal of the session is that participants leave with a better awareness of where they have potential to widen their network, and how to use opportunities to do so well, and in line with what suits their personality and ambitions.
