Preventing Conflicts and Power Abuse in Academia

Conflicts and power abuse in academia can severly impact our ability to do our best work and maintain our well-being as (early career) researchers. The PostDoc Office invites you to a round table conversation with expert Jana Lasser - bring along your questions or discussion points! There will be the opportunity to learn from Jana and share strategies, e.g. on how to handle conflict before it leads to larger issues, how to recognize imbalances of power, how to draw and maintain boundaries, and how to recognize options for action and agency.

Jana Lasser is a PostDoc researching complex social systems @TU Graz, Member of the Network against Abuse of Power in Science (https://www.netzwerk-mawi.de/en/), advisory board member of N² - Network of Doctoral Researchers (https://www.phdnet.mpg.de/n2), and Mittelbau representative in the TU Graz senate.

The Round Table will be moderated by Johanna Stadlbauer, Coordinator of the PostDoc Office.
