Physical Geography in a Changing World: Integrating Cultural Heritage, Geodiversity and Biodiversity
The talk focus on the role geographers, and especially physical geographers, can make to both heritage conservation and the heritage science that underpins it. Heritage conservation operates at a number of scales, from local reserves to UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and involves conservation of biodiversity, geodiversity and cultural heritage. Landscape provides a key integrating concept for heritage conservation, and one which is very familiar to physical geographers.
