The lecture will analyze the Film and Visual Art Production of the most prominent (ex-)Yugoslav and Croatian Film and Visual Artist Tomislav Gotovac. Ivan Paić, who was a close creative collaborator of

Tomislav Gotovac, as well as a film analyst later on, will base his lecture on film material widely unknown to Austrian academic and broader public. A special focus of the lecture will be laid on Gotovac’s Film and Visual Art Production as an unapologetic and radical critique of authoritarian and totalitarian political structures in former Yugoslavia and within a broader European context.
