The Writing Centre is pleased to offer a short workshop series with visiting lecturer Richard Wilson from the University of Chester. The offer is aimed at all students of the University of Graz. Each date can be booked individually and is open for 10-15 participants.

The first session will focus on aspects of writing in English, particularly academic English for students with English level B2. We will practise different aspects of the written language, including:

- extensive writing activities

- exercises to improve (academic) vocabulary

- specific academic language, eg reporting verbs

Richard E Wilson BA (Hons.), MA, PGCE, DTEFLA began his career as a history teacher but soon moved to English as a Foreign Language teaching. After many years of summer school, he became a Director of Studies and then Academic Director for companies involved in summer courses. After his Master of Education in 2008, he joined the University as a part-time lecturer and has led the development of the English for Academic Purposes department.
