You will be able to work in research and teaching roles in universities and non-university institutions, or in practical fields such youth work and youth welfare, school-based social work, working with young people on the streets, counselling services for families and young people, or working with people with special needs and backgrounds. If you specialise in early childhood education, you will also have career options in the leadership and management of early childhood educational and care institutions, and in counselling, early intervention or family support.
