Interests that are a good basis for this study programme
You should clearly be interested in languages, communication and other cultures, and also in current issues in politics, the economy, society, science and research etc., at both national and international levels. Otherwise you should enjoy reading and writing, have excellent language skills in your mother tongue and an aptitude for foreign languages.
You can choose from the following languages:
Arabic, Bosnian/Croat/Serbian, Austrian sign language, English, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Russian, Slovenian, Spanish, Turkish.
You will study in your mother tongue/the language of instruction, which may be one of the languages listed above, and one or wo foreign languages.
Transcultural Communication at the University of Graz
In this degree programme you will develop your language skills in your mother tongue/the language of instruction, and in your chosen foreign language(s), and will learn how to write for specific purposes and target groups. The study programme also covers principles of translation and academic research.
