Vom Götterhimmel bis zum Waldboden

In der Langen Nacht der Forschung dreht sich an der Uni Graz alles um Frühlingsgefühle.

Am 22. April findet von 17 bis 23 Uhr österreichweit die Lange Nacht der Forschung statt. Die Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz präsentiert an 18 Stationen Wissenschaftliches rund um das Thema Frühlingsgefühle. Die Palette reicht dabei vom Erwachen der Götterwelt im antiken Griechenland über die Chemie der Düfte bis hin zu den beliebtesten Kosenamen der ÖsterreicherInnen. In Kooperation mit der KinderUniGraz wird auch für junge BesucherInnen ein ansprechendes Programm geboten. Im UniGraz@Museum gibt es Sonderführungen durch die Ausstellung zum Klimawandel „KliMacht / CliMatters“, das  Haus der Wissenschaft lädt ein, die interaktive Schau „Planet Erde“ zu erleben, und der Botanische Garten zeigt um 17 sowie um 18.30 Uhr das Frühlingserwachen im Freiland.
Darüber hinaus gibt es im Lesesaal der Universitätsbibliothek Kurzvorträge, Gesangseinlagen des Grazer Universitätschors sowie Theaterperformances.

Around the world in eight stops: the Long Night of Research at the University of Graz

On 24 April from 5 pm, you can take a short trip around the globe at the University of Graz, discovering pecularities of foreign countries or new local features in the entrance hall of the University Library. The itinerary takes you through introduced animal species, political attitudes and the omnipotence of algorithms. There will also be a programme in the historic reading hall, as well as at the UniGraz@Museum and the University Archive.
