Kooperation zwischen Styria und Theologischer Fakultät

Wolfgang Bretschko und Hans-Ferdinand Angel

Dekan Hans-Ferdinand Angel (re.) und Styria-Vorstandssprecher Wolfgang Bretschko unterzeichneten eine Kooperation zur Förderung von Lehre und Forschung in der Angewandten Ethik.

Medienhaus unterstützt Masterstudium Angewandte Ethik

Ethisches Denken zu schulen – als Basis für Qualitätsentwicklung in den Bereichen Bildung, Gesundheit, Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft – ist Ziel des Interfakultären Masterstudiums „Angewandte Ethik“, das seit Oktober 2010 an der Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz angeboten wird. Unterstützung erfährt diese wissenschaftlich fundierte Ausbildung nun von der Styria Media Group AG. Am 31. Mai 2012 unterzeichneten O.Univ.-Prof. Dr. Hans-Ferdinand Angel, Dekan der Katholisch-Theologischen Fakultät der Uni Graz, und Dr. Wolfgang Bretschko, Vorstandssprecher der Styria Media Group AG, am Dekanat eine Kooperationsvereinbarung für die Jahre 2012 bis 2014.

 

„Ethische Fragestellungen gewinnen sowohl in der öffentlichen Diskussion als auch in der beruflichen Praxis immer mehr an Bedeutung“, betont Dekan Hans-Ferdinand Angel Aktualität und Relevanz des Masterstudiums, das von der Theologischen Fakultät initiiert wurde. „Die Förderung durch die Styria Media Group AG soll weitere Impulse für Lehre und Forschung im Bereich der Unternehmens-, Wirtschafts- und Sozialethik geben“, so Angel. Darüber hinaus sollen Veranstaltungen zu verstärkten Diskussionen über diese Themen anregen.
„Die Styria Media Group AG versteht sich als Unternehmensgruppe, in der Werte zählen und der eine qualifizierte Auseinandersetzung mit ethischen Fragen in Forschung und Lehre, Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft daher ein besonderes Anliegen ist“, so Vorstandssprecher Wolfgang Bretschko über den Hintergrund der neuen Kooperation.
