  • Mag. Doris Fallent: „The Effects of Dyslexia on Learning English as a Foreign Language. Case Studies with Austrian Children“, betreut von Ao.Univ.-Prof. Dr. Margit Reitbauer

  • Mag. Melanie Gutmann: „A study of English learners´ speaking anxiety and willingness to communicate at the point of transition from high school to university“, betreut von Ao.Univ.-Prof. Dr. David Newby

  • Mag. Susanne Kopf: „Critical Discourse Analysis: Hillary R. Clinton and Women in the New York Times during the Presidential Candidacy Campaign 2008“, betreut von Ao.Univ.-Prof. Dr. Hermine Penz

  • Mag. Maria Scheer: „The Role of Competences in Austrian Foreign Language Teaching“, betreut von Ao.Univ.-Prof. Dr. David Newby

  • Mag. Cornelia Schröpel: „Developing and Assessing Language Listening Competence. With Special Reference to the New Austrian School Leaving Examination“, betreut von Ao.Univ.-Prof. Dr. David Newby

When parents find it difficult to have a say

Cosmetics in the environment: University of Graz proves danger to ants

Titanium dioxide, which is found in cosmetics, for example, is increasingly entering the environment in the form of nanoparticles. This could also put insects at risk. If ants ingest the substance in combination with the pesticide glyphosate, it disturbs the development of their offspring. Scientists at the University of Graz are drawing attention to the negative consequences of this toxic cocktail.
