The start of the year is often associated with good intentions and new plans. How about studying at the University of Graz?

First-semester students can draw on the full range of around 120 degree programmes and choose from nine specialisations depending on their interests: Mint (natural sciences), climate and sustainability, health and fitness, social affairs and ethics, languages, society and democracy, economics and law, data science as well as history and culture.

All those interested in a degree programme with an admissions procedure - these are law, pharmaceutical sciences, biology, psychology and molecular biology - must register between 2 March and 4 May 2026. ⇒ find out more about the dates

The University of Graz not only offers a wide range of programmes in six faculties. There are also six good reasons to start a degree programme at Austria's second-largest university:

  1. Research campus: research and research-led teaching is what the University of Graz is all about.
  2. Shaping the future: Scrutinising yesterday, reflecting on the present and providing solutions for tomorrow.
  3. Asking questions: Knowledge begins with questions - not just any questions, but the right ones.
  4. A great little city: A little bit of everything, with lots of charm and short distances.
  5. Full of art and culture: from the Literaturhaus to the Kunsthaus via the Murinsel to the Lendwirbel
  6. In the best location: Whether to the mountains, to neighbouring towns or to the south - now even faster with the Koralmbahn.
