Study, work and leisure - artificial intelligence characterises our everyday lives. Those who understand it and use it responsibly have clear advantages. With the micro-degree "Artificial Intelligence and Society", the University of Graz offers all students a free additional qualification.

The micro-degree "AI and Society" covers the areas of technology, ethics, law, economics and education. The transdisciplinary additional course with 16 ECTS credits is open to all Bachelor's and diploma students and can be recognised as an elective subject. The courses generally take place online. ⇒ find out more

"Our students learn to think outside the box. This training in AI therefore not only includes technical applications, but also legal and ethical aspects," explains Rector Peter Riedler
"We don't just want to discuss and research AI at the University of Graz, we also want to actively use and shape it," explains Markus Fallenböck, Vice-Rector for Digitalisation.
Catherine Walter-Laager, Vice-Rector for Studies and Teaching, emphasises: "One of our most important tasks is to train students well for the challenges of the future. Dealing with artificial intelligence will be one of the key skills for this."

studiGPT

The University of Graz is also the first university in Austria to offer the AI chatbot "studiGPT" to support students. The tool is also available to all students free of charge and provides support with various study tasks, from drafting a study plan, improving texts and formulating emails to finding creative ideas. Students can also upload files and save successful commands, so-called prompts, for further use. ⇒ learn more
