Die Wahl zum Wort und Unwort des Jahres findet an der Uni Graz statt.

Die Wahl zum Wort und Unwort des Jahres findet an der Uni Graz statt.

Rettungsgasse und Unschuldsvermuteter setzten sich durch

Es ist die Qual der Wahl, die die Jury zum österreichischen Wort/Unwort an der Uni Graz rund um den Germanisten und Linguisten Ass.-Prof. Dr. Rudolf Muhr jedes Jahr hat. Doch die Wahl ist geschlagen: Die Entscheidung fiel auf "Rettungsgasse" zum Wort und "Unschuldsvermuteter" zum Unwort des Jahres 2012. Das Jugendwort 2012 heisst "leider geil" und der Spruch des Jahres stammt aus dem Mund der ehemaligen Vorsitzenden des Korruptions-Untersuchungsausschusses Gabriele Moser: "Ich trete nicht zurück, ich mache den Weg frei." Unspruch des Jahres: "Das ist mir nicht erinnerlich."

 

Die Jury wählte in einer Vorwahl aus allen Einsendungen 225 Vorschläge für das Wort und 253 Vorschläge für das Unwort des Jahres aus. Die eigentliche Wahl des Worts 2012 fand vom 06.11.-03.12.2012 via Internet statt. Insgesamt gab es bei der heurigen Wahl 11.018 Einsendungen (Vorwahl 3.503; Wahl 7.511), die von insgesamt 3.800 TeilnehmerInnen stammen. Im Rahmen der Vorwahl und der Wahl wurden insgesamt 11.018 Stimmen in den 5 Kategorien der Wahl abgegeben und 1259 Einzelvorschläge für Wörter/Unwörter usw.gemacht.
