Weiterbildung im Web abholen – mit den Online-Seminaren von UNI for LIFE

Extras sind nie verkehrt – auch nicht am Bildungsweg. Weiterbildung smarter, mobiler und individueller machen, das ist dank der UNI for LIFE Online Seminare möglich. Digital-Learning-Experte Sebastian Hirm erklärt: „Bei der Entwicklung haben wir uns stark an der New Work World orientiert. Das Angebot ist extrem praxisnah und umfasst Themen von agiler Organisationsformel über Berufsethik bis hin zu persönlicher Innovation und Visual Selling.“

In einer Zeit, in der viele Menschen mobil arbeiten, ist auch mobiles Lernen gefragt. Das Angebot erweitert UNI for LIFE laufend, jedes Seminar beinhaltet bis zu vier Stunden Videomaterial und umfasst je nach Lernfortschritt etwa 20 bis 25 Stunden Workload. Die Formate werden von Videos, Selbstüberprüfungsfragen, einem Workbook sowie einem Skriptum, in dem die Lerninhalte praxisnah aufbereitet festgehalten sind, begleitet.

Teilnehmende können außerdem an ergänzenden Live-Sessions teilnehmen. Dabei stellt man den persönlichen Kontakt zu den Referent:innen her, kann das erworbene Wissen diskutieren und etwaige Fragen klären. Der Weg zum Teilnahmezertifikat führt über Selbstüberprüfungsfragen und eine erfolgreiche Abschlussprüfung.

Jurassic Sounds: Biologist reconstructs insect songs from 165 million years ago

It was apparently not just the roars of the dinosaurs that made up the soundscape of the animal world during the Jurassic period. Crickets and grasshoppers communicated through a variety of songs and high-pitched sounds, as Thorin Jonsson from the Institute of Biology at the University of Graz discovered together with colleagues from the universities of Lincoln, Bristol (UK), Beijing (China) and Tempe (USA). The findings on what are so far the oldest traces of sound on Earth have just been published in the journal PNAS.
