Mit Podcasts zu diesen spannenden Theme geht der AirCampus in seine zweite Sendungswoche:

Was ist Timegate? - Gerade für Erstsemestrige eine interessante Angelegenheit, denn ein bisschen Betriebswirtschaftslehre braucht man früher oder später im Leben. Im AirCampus-Interview erläutert der Timegate-Initiator Alfred Gutschelhofer, was hinter diesem Programm steckt, das sich an alle Studierenden richtet und ihnen neben unternehmerischem Denken und Wissen auch ECTS-Punkte und ein Zeugnis beschert.

Gib deiner Uni (d)ein Gesicht! - Abermals ruft die TU Graz in ihrer jährlichen Kampagne Studierende dazu auf, ihre Universität zu vertreten. Die Bewerbung läuft derzeit und noch bis 29. Oktober. Die sieben SiegerInnen werden nicht nur die Website der TU Graz schmücken, sondern auch auf Bildern in verschiedenen Print- und online-Produkten vertreten sein. Mitmachen lohnt sich, haben frühere "Faces" im AirCampus-Gespräch verraten.

Der Countdown läuft! - Diesen Freitag, am 13. Oktober, öffnet der neue MED CAMPUS seine Pforten, und zwar für die gesamte Familie! In die Welt der Mikroben abtauchen oder menschliche Organe von innen "begehen" ist genau so möglich, wie den Teddydocs beim Verarzten von verletzten Bärenpfoten zu helfen oder - unter Anleitung - Diagnosen à la Doctor House zu stellen. Was noch auf BesucherInnen wartet, schildert Med Uni-Rektor Hellmut Samonigg im AirCampus.

Back to the '80ies! - "Electric Dreams" nennt sich die Oper, in der die KUG auf eine Reise zurück in die 1980er-Jahre einlädt. Glitzertops, Neonleggins und viel Haarspray erwarten ZuschauerInnen heute bei den beiden Aufführungen - heute, am 9. Oktober, sowie am 11. Oktober im MUMUTH. Doch nicht nur das: Im AirCampus-Beitrag erzählt Regisseur Philipp Maria Krenn, worum es in der schrillen Oper wirklich geht.

Was ist AirCampus?
Das Podcast-Projekt der vier Grazer Universitäten versorgt MitarbeiterInnen, Studierende sowie alle Interessierten das ganze Studienjahr über mit wissenswerten Infos aus der Welt der Forschung, aus dem Bildungsbereich und dem Campusleben der Karl-Franzens-Universität, Technischen Universität, Medizinischen Universität und Kunstuniversität. Früher als "Webradio" bekannt, gibt es auf der Website http://www.aircampus-graz.at auch alle Podcasts, die vor dem 2. Oktober 2017 publiziert wurden, im Archiv zum Nachhören.

It was apparently not just the roars of the dinosaurs that made up the soundscape of the animal world during the Jurassic period. The University of Graz is further expanding its international study opportunities through the European university alliance Arqus and is taking the lead in two key projects. In future, students will benefit from even more joint degree programmes and from simplified recognition of academic achievements through the Joint European Degree Label.

Rescue and risks: Researchers have surveyed public perceptions of AI

The use of artificial intelligence has had to be made transparent since 2 August 2026. The EU’s AI Act, which has been in force since then, also sets out how risky an application is and which security measures apply as a result. However, the assessment of risks by the legislation differs in some cases significantly from the perceptions of the Austrian public. This is the finding of a representative study carried out by data scientist Stefan Thalmann from the University of Graz and his team.

The Healing Sea: Researchers discover new approaches to treating chronic inflammation in sponges

Chronic inflammation plays a key role in many diseases, ranging from metabolic disorders and cardiovascular diseases to tissue damage following injuries or infections. “Normally, the body is able to resolve inflammation on its own. If this process becomes unbalanced, immune cells remain permanently active and continue to drive negative changes in the tissue,” explains Andreas Koeberle, a pharmacist at the University of Graz.
