Vortrag beleuchtet den Einfluss Sigmund Freuds in der Populärkultur

Ganz selbstverständlich wird im Alltag von Fehlleistungen, Versprechern, Verdrängung und unbewussten Vorgängen gesprochen. In Zeitungskolumnen suchen LeserInnen Rat bei PsychoanalytikerInnen und in TV-Serien, wie The Sopranos oder Analyze That, wurde die Sitzung beim „shrink“ als Routinehandlung eingeführt. Sigmund Freud hat mit seinen Konzepten Einzug in die Populärkultur gehalten.

Dr. Brigitte Frizzoni vom Institut für Populäre Kulturen Zürich beleuchtet dieses Thema am 15. Mai 2013 in einem Vortrag an der Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz. Die Wissenschafterin geht der Frage nach, welche Aspekte von Freuds Werk im öffentlichen Diskurs in popularisierter Form – in Film und Fernsehen, Songs und Ratgebern – bevorzugt aufgegriffen, kritisiert und tradiert werden.
