Im Rahmen des Projektes „PBNet – Kohärenz in der LEHRErInnenbildung“ startete für das aktuelle Studienjahr am 15. Oktober 2018 wieder die Workshopreihe zur Vernetzung der Lehrenden der bildungswissenschaftlichen und fachdidaktischen Begleitlehrveranstaltungen mit AkteurInnen der Pädagogisch-Praktischen Studien.

Das Schwerpunktthema „Einführung in die pädagogische Forschung, die PPS 1 und ihre bildungswissenschaftlichen und fachdidaktischen Begleitlehrveranstaltungen“ gestaltete bereits zum zweiten Mal den Workshop, so stand der Erfahrungsaustausch im Fokus dieser Veranstaltung. Eingeleitet wurde die Veranstaltung durch den Vortrag „Studierende beschreiten die Theorie – Praxis – Brücke. Einführung in die pädagogische Forschung, Fachdidaktik und Pädagogisch-Praktische Studien“ gemeinsam konzipiert und präsentiert von Lehrenden aus den drei Fachbereichen. Claudia Haagen-Schützenhöfer (Universität Graz), Gerda Kernbichler (PHSt), Daniela Moser (PHSt) und Erika Rottensteiner (PHSt) sprachen in ihren Inputs über den Theorie-Praxis-Transfer der Studierenden in den Pädagogisch-Praktischen Studien, der eine gute Gelegenheit bietet, um den Berufswunsch zu überprüfen und das erworbene Theoriewissen in ersten Praxiserfahrungen zu erproben. Die fachdidaktischen und bildungswissenschaftlichen Begleitlehrveranstaltungen bereiten auf die Pädagogisch-Praktischen Studien vor, vermitteln praktische Methoden und begleiten durch die Praktika, indem den Studierenden verschiedene Zugänge zur Unterrichtsbeobachtung, -planung und -reflexion vermittelt werden.
Im zweiten Teil des Workshop-Nachmittags diskutierten Lehrende der bildungswissenschaftlichen und fachdidaktischen Begleitlehrveranstaltungen sowie jene Personen, die die PPS 1 betreuen über ihre Erfahrungen in puncto Vernetzung von Theorie und Praxis  und tauschten sich über bewährte Strategien und Entwicklungspotentiale aus. Durch den Wissenstransfer und die Diskussion in den Workshop-Gruppen konnten viele Anregungen für die Gestaltung der eigenen Lehrveranstaltungen gewonnen werden.

Rescue and risks: Researchers have surveyed public perceptions of AI

The use of artificial intelligence has had to be made transparent since 2 August 2026. The EU’s AI Act, which has been in force since then, also sets out how risky an application is and which security measures apply as a result. However, the assessment of risks by the legislation differs in some cases significantly from the perceptions of the Austrian public. This is the finding of a representative study carried out by data scientist Stefan Thalmann from the University of Graz and his team.

The Healing Sea: Researchers discover new approaches to treating chronic inflammation in sponges

Chronic inflammation plays a key role in many diseases, ranging from metabolic disorders and cardiovascular diseases to tissue damage following injuries or infections. “Normally, the body is able to resolve inflammation on its own. If this process becomes unbalanced, immune cells remain permanently active and continue to drive negative changes in the tissue,” explains Andreas Koeberle, a pharmacist at the University of Graz.
