Erfolgreicher Abschluss des erstmals durchgeführten Lehrgangs „Junior Akademisches Ausbildungsprogramm“ von UNI for LIFE

Das Junior Akademische Ausbildungsprogramm ist ein österreichweit einzigartiger Universitätskurs für Lehrlinge, den UNI for LIFE, die Weiterbildungsgesellschaft der Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz, in Kooperation mit dem Wirtschaftsbund Steiermark entwickelt und im Sommersemester 2016 erstmals angeboten hat. Das berufsbegleitende Programm vermittelt Fähigkeiten und Kenntnisse, die in der Lehrlingsausbildung nicht abgedeckt werden, wie Soft Skills, Kommunikation und Präsentation, Team Building, Konfliktmanagement, Suchtprävention, Fachenglisch und Selbstmanagement.

Am 8. Juli 2016 wurden bei UNI for LIFE, im Palais Kottulinsky in der Beethovenstraße 9, die Abschluss-Zertifikate an die AbsolventInnen des Universitätskurses verliehen. 29 Lehrlinge der Holding Graz – Kommunale Dienstleistungen GmbH sind die ersten, die diese Weiterbildung erfolgreich abgeschlossen haben.

„Eine kürzlich durchgeführte Evaluierung des Lehrgangs ergab, dass die TeilnehmerInnen äußerst zufrieden sind und dieses innovative Qualifizierungsformat die zusätzlichen Bildungsbedürfnisse der Lehrlinge stillt sowie eine qualitätsvolle und ideale Ergänzung zur Lehrlingsausbildung darstellt“, freut sich Mag. Stephan Witzel, Geschäftsführer von UNI for LIFE.

Rescue and risks: Researchers have surveyed public perceptions of AI

The use of artificial intelligence has had to be made transparent since 2 August 2026. The EU’s AI Act, which has been in force since then, also sets out how risky an application is and which security measures apply as a result. However, the assessment of risks by the legislation differs in some cases significantly from the perceptions of the Austrian public. This is the finding of a representative study carried out by data scientist Stefan Thalmann from the University of Graz and his team.

Chronic inflammation plays a key role in many diseases, ranging from metabolic disorders and cardiovascular diseases to tissue damage following injuries or infections. “Normally, the body is able to resolve inflammation on its own. If this process becomes unbalanced, immune cells remain permanently active and continue to drive negative changes in the tissue,” explains Andreas Koeberle, a pharmacist at the University of Graz.
