The Austrian Student Union and the universities are jointly calling for large rallies. The meeting point in Graz is on 28 May at 2 pm on Wilhelm-Fischer-Allee.

The government’s planned austerity measures are putting Styria’s status as a centre of science at risk. The Austrian Student Union (ÖH) and the universities are organising a demonstration to highlight the impending negative consequences: around a fifth of jobs are at risk. University staff and students are being called upon to take part. The meeting point is on Thursday, 28 May, at 2 pm on Wilhelm-Fischer-Allee.

In Vienna, a demonstration will take place on 27 May; the meeting point is at 1 pm on the Ring in front of the main building of the University of Vienna.
