How do I put together my application documents? What jobs are available? How do I gain professional experience? Where do my strengths lie? The Career Centre at the University of Graz provides answers to these questions. ‘In addition to workshops, we also offer personal advice free of charge,’ says Career Centre Director Kathrin Neumann, highlighting a special feature of the University of Graz. The team takes care of what AI assistants often cannot do on their own. It also takes a professional look at automatically generated documents, such as CVs. ‘This is because the use of artificial intelligence often means that many individual nuances are lost.’
The career experts also help students find student jobs and internships – whether it's a traditional part-time job in the catering industry or a study-specific internship in a company. The industry is not always the deciding factor. ‘Basically, any experience enhances your CV,’ confirms Neumann. But Neumann is also convinced that companies benefit from having students as employees: ‘They gain young, motivated people with a high-quality education.’
If you want to meet lots of potential employers and find out about what the Career Centre has to offer, mark 12 November 2025 in your calendar: that's when the next Excellence Fair will take place at the University of Graz.
