Friedrich Santner, Vorstandsvorsitzender der Steiermärkischen Verwaltungssparkasse, überreichte im Vorjahr an Melanie Hendler ein Stipendium in der Höhe von 24.000 Euro

Steiermärkische Sparkasse und Universitätsrat stellen 96.000 Euro bereit

Die Bewerbung für die Stipendien des JungforscherInnenfonds der Steiermärkischen Sparkasse und des Universitätsrats ist ab sofort wieder möglich. Auch 2015 werden wieder vier Stipendien in der Gesamthöhe von 96.000 Euro vergeben. Ende der Frist ist der 27. März 2015.

Die Steiermärkische Sparkasse stellt insgesamt 72.000 Euro zur Verfügung. Drei DissertantInnen erhalten jeweils für zwei Jahre ein Stipendium in Höhe von monatlich 1.000 Euro. „Seit ihrer Gründung hat die Sparkasse stets ein Auge auf das Gemeinwohl. Durch ihre Initiativen schafft die Steiermärkische Sparkasse einen Mehrwert für die Gesellschaft, der in Zeiten immer knapper werdender öffentlicher Budgets nicht mehr wegzudenken ist. Die Stipendien sind ein Beitrag, Bildung und Forschung zu unterstützen“, betont Dr. Friedrich Santner, Vorstandsvorsitzender der Steiermärkischen Verwaltungssparkasse.
 
Der Universitätsrat finanziert ein Stipendium in Höhe von 24.000 Euro. Mitglieder des Universitätsrats spenden ihre Vergütung für den JungforscherInnen-Fonds. „Mit dem Stipendium wollen wir hochqualifizierte NachwuchsforscherInnen dabei unterstützen, ihre Kompetenzen in der Forschung zu erproben, ihre Fähigkeiten zur wissenschaftlichen Kommunikation zu entwickeln und sich im internationalen Wettbewerb zu behaupten“, erklärt Dr. Othmar Ederer.
