Das Team des Webradios produziert wieder aktuell

In 80 Tagen um die Welt, in 120 Beiträge rund um die vier Grazer Universitäten: Das Webradio hat es sich zum Ziel gemacht, allen interessierten Hörern und Hörerinnen die Vielfalt der steirischen Forschungs- und Bildungslandschaft zu vermitteln. Kurze und prägnant gestaltete Beiträge entführen in unterschiedliche Wissenschaftswelten, informieren über Neues am Campus und geben Antworten auf aktuell diskutierte Fragen.

Nach der Sommerpause ist das Team des Webradios ab heute zurück und präsentiert ab sofort wieder wöchentlich, jeweils am Montag, vier frische Beiträge - am besten gleich direkt auf http://webradio.uni-graz.at gehen und sich durchklicken. Alle Beiträge bleiben, so wie auch die aus den vergangenen Jahren, zum immer Wiederhören online gespeichert. Die bewährte Kooperation mit Radio Soundportal, das die Beiträge zwei Mal täglich spielt, bleibt im neuen Studienjahr ebenfalls bestehen.

Auch neue Gesichter sind zum Webradio dazu gestoßen: Das Redaktionsteam wächst, genau so wie die Motivation der RedakteurInnen, den Studierenden, MitarbeiterInnen, Lehrenden und ForscherInnen mehr über ihren Ausbildungs- und Arbeitsplatz zu erzählen. Neue Team-Mitglieder sind natürlich jederzeit gerne willkommen: Wer sich für Wissenschaftskommunikation und Radiojournalismus interessiert und Erfahrung in diesen Bereichen sammeln möchte, meldet sich einfach mit einer kurzen Hörprobe bei der Webradio-Projektkoordinatorin Gerhild Kastrun von der Pressestelle der Uni Graz.

Why does the body composition of babies vary so much? Some children gain a significant amount of fat mass within a few weeks, whilst others show hardly any change over the same period. “At the same time, initial observations suggest that fat distribution in all babies may follow a similar pattern, regardless of their total body fat,” explains Marco Höfler from the Institute of Movement Sciences, Sport and Health at the University of Graz. He is coordinating the research project ‘Small Bodies – Big Questions’, for which participants are currently still being sought: pregnant women and babies up to four weeks old.
