Start der Migration von Bediensteten-Mailboxen auf Exchange 2013

Schneller, sicherer und effizienter wird das Arbeiten mit dem neuen E-Mail-System Exchange 2013. „Der Umzug der Bediensteten-Mailboxen wird im Hintergrund und außerhalb der Büro- und Geschäftszeiten durchgeführt“, erklärt Peter Obersteiner, Leiter der Abteilung Kommunikation und Kollaboration der UNI-IT. Obersteiner und sein Team sind für die Migration des neuen Systems und das Kopieren der Daten von Server zu Server zuständig. „Da sehr viele und große Mailboxen betroffen sind, wird der Prozess zwei bis drei Monate in Anspruch nehmen“, führt Obersteiner aus. Start der Umstellung ist am 2. Februar 2015 mit der Adaption der Loginseite für das Webmail. Die UNI-IT informiert über das Vorhaben auf ihrer Intranetseite unter http://intranet.uni-graz.at/einheiten/715/Pages/Upgrade-des-E-Mail-Systems-der-Uni-Graz.aspx. Fahrplan der E-Mail-Migration

  • Station 1: Dienstag, 20. Jänner 2015: Information aller MitarbeiterInnen per E-Mail.
  • Station 2: Montag, 2. Februar 2015: Umstellung der Loginseite Webmail auf das System und das veränderte Layout. Unter email.uni-graz.at überrascht die Willkommensseite des neuen Webmails. Solange die Mailbox noch nicht migriert wurde, öffnet sich nach dem Login der bekannte Webaccess. Gültig sind  folgende Login-Daten:Benutzername: EDVZ\Ihr UNIGRAZonline-Username, Passwort: Ihr UNIGRAZonline-Passwort (wie gewohnt)Station 3: Erste Februarwoche ab dem 2. Februar 2015: Umstellung der Mailboxen bei ausgewählten UserInnen.
  • Station 4: ab 9. Februar 2015: Start der Migration für alle MitarbeiterInnen der Uni Graz. Die Migration der Mailboxen wird entlang der organisatorischen Strukturen durchgeführt. Dies bedeutet, dass die Mailboxen je Einheit in einem Zug verschoben werden.  Die NutzerInnen werden zwei bis drei Tage vorab über E-Mail von der bevorstehenden Übersiedlung ihres Postfachs informiert. Wird Outlook verwendet, sind keinerlei Änderungen oder Sicherungen vorzunehmen, es muss nur das Programm neu gestartet werden.
