Vier neue Webradio-Beiträge sind online, unter anderem zur russischen Avantgarde

Das Webradio der Grazer Universitäten versorgt Studierende, MitarbeiterInnen, Lehrende, Forschende, Alumni sowie alle Interessierten wöchentlich mit vier Informationsbeiträgen. Spannende Forschungsgeschichten, interessante Veranstaltungstipps, aktuelle Neuigkeiten und vieles mehr in nur dreieinhalb Minuten pro Beitrag bietet das kostenlose Programm. Alle Beiträge bleiben online gespeichert, eignen sich dadurch auch zum Nachhören und stehen ebenfalls zum Download bereit. Zwei mal täglich sind sie außerdem auf Radio Soundportal.

Diese Woche im Programm:

1) Forschung: "Sammelbecken für kreatives Schaffen". Im Zuge einer Lehrveranstaltung am Institut für Slawistik der Uni Graz beschäftigten sich Studierende mit einem der radikalsten und vielseitigsten Kapiteln der Moderne: Der russischen Avantgarde. Die Leiterinnen Ingeborg Jandl und Margarethe Maierhofer-Lischka haben dem Webradio erzählt, auf was sie den Fokus der Lehrveranstaltung gelegt haben.

2) Bildung: "Ein Lusthaus zum Verweilen." Der Holzpavillon ‚Cocoon’ ist das Resultat eines Projektstudios des Instituts für Architektur und Medien der TU Graz. Die Studierenden waren aufgefordert, ein Lusthaus zu entwerfen. Das Besondere an der Entwurfsaufgabe war die Auseinandersetzung mit digitalen Fabrikationsmöglichkeiten in Holz. Bald schon steht der Cocoon der Öffentlichkeit zur Verfügung!

4) Aktuell Gefragt: "So kommt der Jazz nach Graz". Was steckt hinter dem Schaffen von Musik? Die zweiteilige Veranstaltungsreihe „Jazz and the City“ versucht im Rahmen von Vortrags-, Diskussions- und Konzertveranstaltungen diese Frage zu beantworten. Unter der Leitung von Michael Kahr soll dem Publikum die Geschichte der Grazer Jazzszene nähergebracht werden.

“HeinrichBiCool”: University of Graz demonstrates the effects of green facades and roofs

The University of Graz has launched a pioneering project at the University Centre for Theology. Its name, “HeinrichBiCool”, says it all: a comprehensive system of green facades and roof will cool the building at Heinrichstraße 80 during the summer. At the same time, this will create a new habitat for plants and animals, helping to increase biodiversity. The accompanying monitoring programme will provide detailed data on the impact of the measures on indoor climate, energy consumption and biodiversity. The findings will lay a scientifically sound foundation for further projects aimed at making cities sustainable, climate-resilient and liveable. The partners in this project, funded by the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG), are AEE INTEC – Institute for Sustainable Technologies, Technisches Büro Siegfried Stark, the landscape architecture and urban planning firm “studio boden”, and Ökoteam Graz.
