Der AirCampus der Grazer Universitäten erhielt den PR-Panther 2017 in der Kategorie „Wissenschaft“

So sieht erfolgreiche Wissenschaftskommunikation aus: Die Anfang Oktober 2017 online gegangene Plattform „AirCampus.Podcasts der Grazer Universitäten“ erhielt gestern, am 6. Dezember 2017, den PR-Panther 2017 in der Kategorie „Wissenschaft“. Gerhild Leljak von der Pressestelle der Uni Graz nahm – stellvertretend für ihre KollegInnen Gerald Auer (Med Uni Graz), Susanne Eigner (TU Graz) und Hermann Götz (Kunstuniversität Graz) – den von der Fachgruppe Werbung & Marktkommunikation der WKO Steiermark vergebenen Preis im Styria Media Center entgegen. Die AirCampus-Redakteurinnen Isabela Estrada, Eva Szabo, Bernadette Hiter und Emma Kleiß sowie Michael Kien, Gerald Berger, Jörg Bille und Marian Pachler von der Firma Conversory, die für den neuen Web-Auftritt (http://aircampus-graz.at) verantwortlich zeichnet, freuten sich ebenfalls über die prestigeträchtige Auszeichnung. Überreicht wurde der Preis von Edgar Schnedl, Obmann der Fachgruppe Werbung & Marktkommunikation der WKO Steiermark und Thomas Zenz, Berufsgruppensprecher PR.

Was ist der AirCampus?
Das Podcast-Projekt der vier Grazer Universitäten versorgt MitarbeiterInnen, Studierende sowie alle Interessierten das ganze Studienjahr über mit wissenswerten Infos aus der Welt der Forschung, aus dem Bildungsbereich und dem Campusleben der Karl-Franzens-Universität, Technischen Universität, Medizinischen Universität und Kunstuniversität. Früher als "Webradio" bekannt, gibt es auf der Website http://www.aircampus-graz.at auch alle Podcasts, die vor dem 2. Oktober 2017 publiziert wurden, im Archiv zum Nachhören.

Im Public Voting des PR-Panthers wurden heuer insgesamt mehr als 11.000 Stimmen für die eingereichten Projekte abgegeben, eine Fachjury kürte danach die SiegerInnen in den Kategorien „Wissenschaft“, „Gesellschaft“, „Tourismus“ und „Wirtschaft“ sowie den/die KommunikatorIn des Jahres 2017.

“HeinrichBiCool”: University of Graz demonstrates the effects of green facades and roofs

The University of Graz has launched a pioneering project at the University Centre for Theology. Its name, “HeinrichBiCool”, says it all: a comprehensive system of green facades and roof will cool the building at Heinrichstraße 80 during the summer. At the same time, this will create a new habitat for plants and animals, helping to increase biodiversity. The accompanying monitoring programme will provide detailed data on the impact of the measures on indoor climate, energy consumption and biodiversity. The findings will lay a scientifically sound foundation for further projects aimed at making cities sustainable, climate-resilient and liveable. The partners in this project, funded by the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG), are AEE INTEC – Institute for Sustainable Technologies, Technisches Büro Siegfried Stark, the landscape architecture and urban planning firm “studio boden”, and Ökoteam Graz.
