Platz für den neuen Hörsaal

Wo einst Bücher standen, ist nun gähnende Leere: das alte Magazin.

Es wird. An der Universitätsbibliothek Graz, die ja gerade umgebaut wird, sind derzeit Firmen schwer damit beschäftigt, alles zu demontieren, was beweglich ist und nicht fest mit dem Gebäude verbunden ist. LKW, viel Lärm, tonnenweise Stahl: das alte Magazin an der Südseite der UB wurde demontiert und liegt sprichwörtlich in Trümmern. Es wurde Platz geschaffen für den neuen Hörsaal, der mit 430 Sesseln ausgestattet in das neue Magazin einziehen wird. Der Abriss des alten Eingangsbereichs ist für den Monat März vorgesehen.

In den leeren Raum im alten Magazin, der sich über mehrere Stockwerke erstreckt, wird der neue Hörsaal mit 430-Sesseln entstehen. Zur Erinnerung: In einer einzigartigen Fundraising-Aktion hat alumni UNI graz im vergangenen Jahr alle 430 Sitzplätze – analog zur 430jährigen Geschichte der Uni Graz –, die sich im neuen Hörsaal befinden werden, an SpenderInnen und StifterInnen vergeben. Somit konnte ein erheblicher Teil der Ausstattung des neuen Lehrsaals über diese Fundraising Aktion finanziert werden.

Jänner ist Prüfungszeit: Lernplätze
Im Jänner sind Lernplätze an der Universität Graz heiß begehrt: Damit es zu keinem Stau in der beliebten RESOWI-Bibliothek kommt, zeigt ein Campusplan im Foyer alle möglichen Lernplätze auf. If this process becomes unbalanced, immune cells remain permanently active and continue to drive negative changes in the tissue,” explains Andreas Koeberle, a pharmacist at the University of Graz.
