Franziskanische Beiträge zu Frieden und interreligiösem Dialog präsentiert

Die Förderung des Friedens, des interreligiösen Dialogs und des gemeinsamen Gebets der Religionen durch die Franziskaner stehen im Zentrum eines neu erschienen Bandes in der Reihe „Theologie im kulturellen Dialog“: „Pax et Bonum. Franziskanische Beiträge zu Frieden und interreligiösem Dialog“ wurde kürzlich im Rahmen des Symposions „Das Buch der Schöpfung lesen: Die Natur zwischen Mystik und Missbrauch“ im Grazer Franziskanerkloster präsentiert.

Die beiden HerausgeberInnen, Ao.Univ-Prof. Dr. Michaela Sohn-Kronthaler vom Institut für Kirchengeschichte und kirchliche Zeitgeschichte der Uni Graz, und Br. Paul Zahner, überreichten das Buch in Anwesenheit von Dekan Hans-Ferdinand Angel dem Hausherrn des Franziskanerklosters, P. Dr. Willibald Hopfgartner, und Gemeinderätin Sissy Potzinger, die als Vertreterin des Bürgermeisters Siegfried Nagl teilnahm.

„Mit dieser Publikation wird deutlich, dass der Dialog mit verschiedenen Religionen, der franziskanischen Ordensfamilie immer wichtig war und gerade heute bedeutsam ist. Insbesondere das neu entdeckte Gebet mit den Religionen ist dabei zukunftsweisend“, berichtet Michaela Sohn-Kronthaler. Das Buch fasst auf knapp 220 Seiten die Vorträge des gleichnamigen Symposions im vergangenen Herbst zusammen. Die ReferentInnen bzw. AutorInnen gehören zum einen der großen franziskanischen Ordensfamilie, zum anderen der Grazer Katholisch-Theologischen Fakultät an.
