Geldtheorien in Judentum, Christentum und Islam

Im Sommersemster 2010 wurde das von der damaligen Vizerektorin für Forschung, Irmtraud Fischer, initiierte und vom Wissenschaftsressort des Landes Steiermark geförderte Format "MeisterInnenklasse" an der Universität Graz erstmals angeboten.

Zahlreiche internationale Koryphäen hielten seitdem öffentliche Vorträge und betreuten Lehrveranstaltung für exzellente Studierende Studierenden und junge ForscherInnen, darunter Jan Assmann, Mieke Bal oder Ansgar Nünning. Nun startet die "MeisterInnenklasse" auch im neuen Jahr voll durch - mit Christina von Braun vom Institut für Kulturwissenschaft der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin als Gastvortragende.

Christina von Braun ist Professorin für Kulturtheorie mit dem Schwerpunkt Geschlecht und Geschichte. In ihrem öffentlichen Eröffnungsvortrag am 7. Jänner 2013 spricht die Forscherin über Geldtheorien in den drei Religionen des Buches, dem Judentum, Christentum und dem Islam. Der Vortrag thematisiert die Unterschiede der drei Weltreligionen im Umgang mit Geld und zeigt auch den Zusammenhang von Geld und Religion auf. Der Eintritt ist frei.
