REWI-Dekan Joseph Marko begrüßte zahlreiche Prominenz zum 10. Fakultätstag.

Die Qualität von Studium und Forschung ist Thema des 10. REWI-Fakultätstages

Anspruch und Wirklichkeit in den Rechtswissenschaften sowie ihre zukünfite Ausrichtung stehen im Mittelpunkt des 10. REWI-Fakultätstages, der heute in der Aula stattfindet. REWI-Dekan Joseph Marko begrüßte dazu zahlreiche prominente Gäste aus Politik, Gerichtsbarkeit und Wirtschaft, unter anderem Landtagspräsidentin Bettina Vollath. „Es ist Aufgabe der Wissenschaft, über aktuelle Themen zu reflektieren und dazu Stellung zu beziehen. Dazu gehört auch, die eigene Position immer wieder zu überdenken“, betonte Rektorin Christa Neuper in ihren Eröffnungsworten. „Die Bemühungen der Fakultät, sich aktuellen Entwicklungen azupassen, haben mich in den letzten Jahren sehr beeindruckt.“ Dekan Marko nahm das Lob als Auftrag, in diese Richtung weiterzuarbeiten.
Wie mehr Internationalisierung, eine stärkere Vernetzung der Rechtsgebiete, fundierte wissenschaftliche Grundlagen und die Ansprüche der Praxis am besten unter einen Hut gebracht werden können, diskutierte er mit Elmar Pichl, Sektionschef im Bundesministerium für Wissenschaft, Forschung und Wirtschaft, dem Präsidenten der European Law Faculties Association Laurence W. Gormley sowie dem Vorsitzende des Deutschen Juristen-Fakultätstags Joachim Lege.
Die Qualität der Rechtwissenschaftlichen Forschung sowie der rechtswissenschaftlichen Ausbildung werden am Nachmittag jeweils mit VertreterInnen aus Wissenschaft und Praxis thematisiert. Parallel dazu gibt eine Posterausstellung in der Aula Einblicke in die Forschungen der Fakultät.
