Am Freitag, 31. Mai 2013, endet Anmeldung für Betriebswirtschaft und Volkswirtschaftslehre im Studienjahr 2013/14

Die Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz führt ab dem kommenden Studienjahr auf Basis des novellierten Universitätsgesetzes Aufnahmeverfahren in insgesamt fünf Studien durch. Für die beiden Bachelorstudien Betriebswirtschaft und Volkswirtschaftslehre endet die Anmeldung fürs Studienajhr 2013/14 am Freitag den 31. Mai 2013.

Das Verfahren wird in zwei Stufen durchgeführt: Die StudienwerberInnen müssen sich auf einer Online-Plattform registrieren. Im Bewerbungstool ist ein Selbsttest zu absolvieren, bei dem die InteressentInnen ihre persönliche Eignung für das jeweilige Fach überprüfen können. Die Uni Graz verwendet dazu die Plattform „unigate“. Module regen die Interessierten an, ihre Studienwahl in Bezug auf die eigenen Erwartungen sowie fachbezogenen Interessen, Neigungen und Anforderungen zu überdenken. Dieser Selbsttest ist verpflichtend, aber ohne Leistungsbeurteilung.

Liegt die Anzahl der registrierten StudienwerberInnen nach dem Ende des Anmeldezeitraumes über dem Kontingent der festgelegten Studienplätze, entscheidet in der zweiten Stufe ein Test am 9. Juli über die Zulassung zum Studium.

Studienplätze für das Bachelorstudium Volkswirtschaftslehre: 309 (plus 31 Plätze für ERASMUS-Studierende reserviert)

Anmeldung für drei Studien bis 2. August
Für die Bachelorstudien Molekularbiologie (322 Studienplätze, plus 3 Plätze für ERASMUS-Studierende), Biologie (286 Studienplätze, plus 7 Plätze für ERASMUS-Studierende) sowie Pharmazie (384 Studienplätze, plus 6 Plätze für ERASMUS-Studierende) läuft die Online-Anmeldefrist noch bis zum 2. August 2013. Bei Überschreitung der jeweiligen Kontingente sind Aufnahmetests im September anberaumt.

Psychologie
Die Zulassung zum Bachelor- und Masterstudium Psychologie erfolgt – wie gewohnt – mit einem schriftlichen Aufnahmetest. Die Zulassungsprüfung für das Bachelorstudium (230 Studienplätze) findet am 3. September 2013 und für das Masterstudium (150 Studienplätze) am 4. September 2013 statt.Eine Anmeldung ist zwischen 1. Juni 2013 und 2. August 2013 möglich.

Die Anmeldetermine sind unbedingt zu beachten! Nach Ende der Fristen kann das jeweilige Studium an einer österreichischen Universität nicht begonnen werden.

Building biological bridges: Chemist discovers an ecological tool for the pharmaceutical industry

Building a relationship on a solid foundation is also important in chemistry. To produce medicines, disinfectants or plant protection products, stable bonds between carbon atoms must be formed. Conventional chemical methods rely on environmentally harmful reagents and solvents to carry out the desired reaction. This process also produces unusable by-products. Chemist Lilla Gal has discovered an enzyme that enables the same process to take place efficiently and sustainably. The results of her research were recently published in the prestigious journal Angewandte Chemie.
