Der Forschungsschwerpunkt "Kultur- und Deutungsgeschichte Europas" widmet sich aktuellen Entwicklungen und dem historischen Erbe

Flüchtlingsdramen im Mittelmeer oder die aktuellen politischen Unruhen in der Ukraine zeigen, dass Europa auch hundert Jahre nach dem Ausbruch des Ersten Weltkriegs noch kein stabiler, friedlicher Kontinent ist. Am Kreuzungspunkt mehrerer Kulturen, Religionen und Traditionen sind wir ständig mit neuen Herausforderungen und Entwicklungen konfrontiert. Die WissenschafterInnen der Karl-Franzens-Universität stellen sich diesen im Forschungsschwerpunkt "Kultur- und Deutungsgeschichte Europas".
