Unternehmer Heini Staudinger sprach im Rahmen der Sustainability4U-Ringvorlesung über die Liebe, den Mut, die Wirtschaft und das Leben

Die Ringvorlesung „Das Fressen ist da, wo bleibt die Moral?!“, frei nach Bert Brecht, endete am 13. Mai 2015 mit einem spannenden Vortrag von Heini Staudinger, Gründer des Waldviertler Schuhunternehmens GEA, Finanzrebell und Lebenskünstler. Im MUMUTH an der Kunstuni Graz sprach er über die Dinge, die ihn bewegen und aufregen, wie die soziale und ökologische Verantwortung der Wirtschaft, die überbordende Macht der internationalen Konzerne und den dringend notwendigen Wandel.

Bereits zum fünften Mal fand die öffentliche Ringvorlesung, die sich mit kritischen Fragestellungen zu Themen wie Bevölkerungswachstum, Ressourcenverteilung, Gerechtigkeit, Ernährung, Gesundheit und Lebensqualität auseinandersetzte, abwechselnd an allen vier Grazer Unis statt. Während des Semesters bereiteten Studierende Projektarbeiten vor, die abschließend diskutiert, reflektiert und am 17. Juni 2015 um 18 Uhr an der TU Graz einem breiten Publikum präsentiert werden.

Die Initiative Sustainability4U der Uni Graz, Med Uni, Kunstuni und TU Graz ist eine enge Kooperation zu Themen der Nachhaltigen Entwicklung mit dem Ziel, auf inner- und interuniversitäre, regionale sowie nationale und globale Herausforderungen und Chancen zu (re)agieren.

The Austrian Science Fund FWF has selected the Doctoral Programme in Theoretical Particle Physics at the University of Graz for funding from the Doc.funds. Six young scientists will be funded for 3.5 years. They will gain fundamentally new insights into the origins of the world.

From trans women and knee prostheses: sports science prizes awarded

Walking better with a prosthesis, successfully getting rid of excess weight, training more effectively, more fairness for trans people in sport: these were the topics addressed by the students at the University of Graz who were awarded the sports science prizes for their Master's theses on 3 December 2025.
