Keine faulen Ausreden: Thomas Brudermann und Annechien Hoeben erhielten deutschen Preis für Klimakommunikation

Wie wir klimafreundlicher leben können, ohne uns dabei selbst zu belügen. Das Uni-Graz-Projekt „Klimaausreden“ erhielt am 13. Juli 2023 im Museum für Kommunikation in Frankfurt den ersten Preis der Eunice-Foote-Auszeichnung für Klimakommunikation.

Müssen wir wirklich verzichten, um unser Klima zu schützen? Tauschen wir doch vielmehr klimaschädliche Lebensstile gegen eine lebenswertere Zukunft. Diesen Zugang empfiehlt Thomas Brudermann, assoziierter Professor für Innovations- und Nachhaltigkeitsforschung an der Uni Graz. Der Psychologe beschäftigt sich Mechanismen, mit denen wir uns so oft selbst täuschen anstatt klimafreundlicher zu leben.

Beliebte Ausflüchte hat er im Buch „Die Kunst der Ausrede“ sowie auf https://www.klimapsychologie.com/wp/ mit grafischen Illustrationen von Annechien Hoeben, tätig am Institut für Umweltsystemwissenschaften der Uni Graz, dargestellt. Der Wissenschaftler zeigt auch Auswege auf, wie wir Ausreden begegnen können.

Für dieses Engagement gab es den ersten Preis der Eunice-Foote-Auszeichnung für Klimakommunikation. Die renommierte deutsche Auszeichnung wird von mehreren Organisationen, darunter Klimafakten.de und von der Klimaaktiv-Schiene des Bundesministeriums, verliehen.
