AirCampus-Podcast der Woche: Wer zahlt für den Klimawandel?

Die Podcast-Plattform der Grazer Universtitäten, der AirCampus, präsentiert in dieser Woche Wissens-Beiträge zu folgenden Themen:

1) Impuls zur Entscheidung. Wer ist verantwortlich für den Klimawandel? Und wer muss für ihn bezahlen? Welchen Beitrag kann man als Einzelne/r leisten, um ihn abzubremsen? Forscherin Birgit Bednar-Friedl wirkt am internationalen Klimabericht mit und gibt Antworten.

2) Unterschätzte Gefahr. Am Institut für Fahrzeugtechnik der TU Graz beschäftigen sich Forschende aktuell mit dem Thema Schläfrigkeit beim Autofahren. Langfristiges Ziel ist die Entwicklung automatisierter Systeme, die das Einschlafen am Steuer zuverlässig und rechtzeitig erkennen.

3) Happy anniversary. 10 Jahre! So lange gibt es die Doctoral Schools an der Med Uni Graz. Am 23. November wird in einer Jubiläumsfeier ein Blick auf die vergangenen Jahre geworfen, Bilanz gezogen und gefeiert.

4) Beat it! DJanes von morgen aufgepasst: Am 23. November zeigt das DJ-Kollektiv Brunnhilde in einem Workshop im Verein „Die Brücke“ die Basics des DJ‘ings. Für einen fixen Platz hinter den Turntables einfach anmelden unter anna.benedikt(at)kug.ac.at

Was ist der AirCampus?
Das Podcast-Projekt der vier Grazer Universitäten versorgt MitarbeiterInnen, Studierende sowie alle Interessierten das ganze Studienjahr über mit wissenswerten Infos aus der Welt der Forschung, aus dem Bildungsbereich und dem Campusleben der Karl-Franzens-Universität, Technischen Universität, Medizinischen Universität und Kunstuniversität. Früher als "Webradio" bekannt, gibt es auf der Website http://www.aircampus-graz.at auch alle Podcasts, die vor dem 2. Oktober 2017 publiziert wurden, im Archiv zum Nachhören. Die Initiative erhielt 2012 den Inge-Morath-Preis des Landes Steiermark und 2017 den PR-Panther in der Kategorie "Wissenschaft".

Around the world in eight stops: the Long Night of Research at the University of Graz

On 24 April from 5 pm, you can take a short trip around the globe at the University of Graz, discovering pecularities of foreign countries or new local features in the entrance hall of the University Library. The itinerary takes you through introduced animal species, political attitudes and the omnipotence of algorithms. There will also be a programme in the historic reading hall, as well as at the UniGraz@Museum and the University Archive.
