Vorbereitungskurs für Internationales Sprachzertifikat IELTS

Die Universität Graz bietet als international vernetzte Hochschule Sprachkurse auf höchstem Niveau an. Mit dem weltweit anerkannten Sprach- und Zulassungszertifikat IELTS können Studierende, MitarbeiterInnen und Interessierte den Nachweis über ihre erlernten Englischkenntnisse vorlegen. Der IELTS-Test, der zwei Mal im Studienjahr an der Uni Graz angeboten wird, zielt darauf ab, die Sprachkompetenz von KandidatInnen zu testen, die in einem Umfeld studieren und arbeiten wollen, in dem Englisch als Verkehrssprache gilt.

Zur bestmöglichen Vorbereitung auf diese Prüfung gibt es am treffpunkt sprachen auch so genannte Preparation-Workshops, in denen die KursteilnehmerInnen Wissen, das für den IELTS-Test nötig ist, erlernen: Vermittlung von Prüfungsstrategien, Tipps für die vier Sprachfertigkeiten Hörverständnis, Lesen, Schreiben und Sprechen usw. stehen am Schulungsprogramm. Der Termin für den nächsten Preparation-Workshop ist am 19. Mai 2017, von 13 bis 18 Uhr, eine Anmeldung bis spätestens 12. Mai erforderlich. Rescue and risks: Researchers have surveyed public perceptions of AI

The use of artificial intelligence has had to be made transparent since 2 August 2026. The EU’s AI Act, which has been in force since then, also sets out how risky an application is and which security measures apply as a result. However, the assessment of risks by the legislation differs in some cases significantly from the perceptions of the Austrian public. This is the finding of a representative study carried out by data scientist Stefan Thalmann from the University of Graz and his team.

Chronic inflammation plays a key role in many diseases, ranging from metabolic disorders and cardiovascular diseases to tissue damage following injuries or infections. “Normally, the body is able to resolve inflammation on its own. If this process becomes unbalanced, immune cells remain permanently active and continue to drive negative changes in the tissue,” explains Andreas Koeberle, a pharmacist at the University of Graz.
