Gut gebildet: Uni Graz startet mit Montagsakademie am 16. Oktober

Bildung an der Uni Graz kennt keine Grenzen: egal welches Alter, welches Vorwissen oder welche Herkunft – die größte Universität der Steiermark bietet fundiertes Wissen für alle und startet mit neuem, kostenlosen Programm in den Herbst.

Den Anfang macht die beliebte Montagsakademie am 16. Oktober 2023 um 19 Uhr in der Aula: Nachhaltigkeitsforscher Thomas Brudermann verrät, warum es so schwer ist, klimafreundlich zu handeln. https://montagsakademie.uni-graz.at

Ins bereits zweite Jahr geht die Reihe „UNItogether“. Heuer begeben sich Wissenschaftler:innen auf die Suche nach dem Glück in vielen Facetten. Bienenforscher Robert Brodschneider eröffnet am 18. Oktober 2023 um 18 Uhr bei Jugend am Werk in Graz den Vortragsreigen. Er stellt die Frage, ist die Stadt ein Lebensraum für Bienen und sind die Insekten damit glücklich?

Wie es um den gesetzlichen Schutz von Minderheiten in Europa steht, weiß Rechtswissenschaftler Jürgen Pirker. Sein Vortrag am 24. Oktober 2023 um 18 Uhr an der Uni Graz ist Startschuss des generationenübergreifenden Angebots „Vita activa“. https://vitaactiva.uni-graz.at

What connects Giulio, a blacksmith who worked in Bologna almost 500 years ago, with a single mother from Styria who recently lost her job? Both are afraid that they will soon be unable to pay their rent. How does it feel to have existential worries? An exhibition at the University of Graz provides personal insights into experiences of poverty then and now. Listening stations give a voice to people from the Middle Ages. The exhibition opened on 5 March 2026 in the foyer of the University Library Graz.
