Zweites Bewerbungsfenster: Anmeldung für den EUROMACHS-Masterstudiengang bis 20. Juni 2014 möglich

Das historische kulturelle Erbe Europas mit den neuesten Technologien vereinbaren – das ist Ziel des Masterstudiengangs EUROMACHS. AbsolventInnen des Programms sorgen für die Aufbereitung und Langzeitarchivierung von sowohl schriftlichen als auch bildlichen Quellen und verarbeiten diese in virtuellen Archiven und Museen.

EUROMACHS schlägt damit eine Brücke zwischen dem Wissen über das europäische Kulturerbe und aktuellen Entwicklungen in der Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologie. Die Abkürzung steht für „Europe, Digital Media, Arts and Cultural Heritage Studies“. Das zweijährige Programm wird von der Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz gemeinsam mit Partneruniversitäten in Deutschland, Portugal, Italien und Finnland angeboten. Ein Auslandsaufenthalt an einer der beteiligten Universitäten – Coimbra, Köln, Lecce oder Turku – ist verpflichtend.

Einige wenige Plätze sind noch zu vergeben, daher wurde vor Kurzem ein zweites Bewerbungsfenster geöffnet: Noch bis Freitag, 20. Juni 2014, können sich Interessierte anmelden. 12 BewerberInnen werden insgesamt aufgenommen. AbsolventInnen des Joint-Master-Studiums können in Archiven, Bibliotheken oder Forschungseinrichtungen Karriere machen. Voraussetzung für die Bewerbung ist ein abgeschlossenes Bachelorstudium im geistes- und kulturwissenschaftlichen Bereich.

Around the world in eight stops: the Long Night of Research at the University of Graz

On 24 April from 5 pm, you can take a short trip around the globe at the University of Graz, discovering pecularities of foreign countries or new local features in the entrance hall of the University Library. The itinerary takes you through introduced animal species, political attitudes and the omnipotence of algorithms.
