Sieben auf einen Streich: Schloss Seggau ist bis 14. Juli 2012 Austragungsort der International Summer School

Europa hat bis zum 14. Juli 2012 seinen Mittelpunkt auf Schloss Seggau in der Südsteiermark: Die International Summer School der Uni Graz, der Diözese Graz-Seckau und der europäischen Bischofskonferenz COMECE ist nämlich seit 1. Juli 2012 Brennpunkt für Ideen zur künftigen Gestaltung des Kontinents. „Leadership and Education: The Future of Europe“ lautet das diesjährige Generalthema”, mit dem sich etwa 80 Studierende aus 27 Ländern, vor allem aus Süd-Ost-Europa, in Workshops und Diskussionen beschäftigen.
WissenschafterInnen der Uni Graz, darunter Soziologie Manfred Prisching, Rechtswissenschafter Stefan Storr, Soziologie Stephan Moebius und Südosteuropa-Experte Florian Bieber, sowie anderer europäischer Universitäten liefern die entsprechenden inhaltlichen Inputs.

Rektorin Christa Neuper eröffnete die Sommerschule, die heuer bereits zum siebenten Mal durchgeführt wird. „Das Programm ist fixer Bestandteil des Angebots der Uni Graz, die sich zur Internationalisierung der Studien bekennt“, dankte Neuper den KooperationspartnerInnen.
