Neuer Evakuierungsstuhl sorgt für rasche Rettung

Sollte in der Universitätsbibliothek ein Brand ausbrechen, weiß die Betriebsfeuerwehr der Uni Graz was zu tun ist: Retten, löschen, bergen!

In manchen Fällen gestaltet sich eine zeitgerechete Evakuierung allerdings schwierig, weshalb am 15. Oktober 2012 eine speziell auf RollstuhlfahrerInnen abgestimmte Übung unter der Leitung von Herbert Posch stattfand.

Wenige Minuten nach dem ausgelöste Alarm befanden sich die Einsatzkräfte am Arbeitsplatz von Barbara Haindl, Buch- und Medienbearbeitung, die sich der Betriebsfeuerwehr als Testperson zur Verfügung stellte.

Eine besondere Neuerung im Equipment der Betriebsfeuer ist ein eigens für RollfahrerInnen konstruierter Stuhl, der sowohl auf Treppen als auch am ebenen Boden rasch manövriert werden kann. Auch die allgemein Evakuation lief reibungslos und schnell ab.
