Literaturwissenschafter Alfred Doppler begeisterte mit Vortrag über Georg Trakl

Er gilt als Doyen der österreichischen Literatur des 19. und des 20. Jahrhunderts, zeichnet unter anderem für die historisch-kritische Gesamtausgabe der Werke und Briefe von Adalbert Stifter verantwortlich und ist auch im fortgeschrittenen Alter von 96 Jahren ein gefragter Literaturwissenschafter: Em.Univ.-Prof. Dr. Alfred Doppler, emeritierter Professor der Uni Innsbruck und Absolvent der Uni Graz, hielt am 24. Oktober 2017 an der Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz – auf Einladung des Literaturhaus Graz und des Instituts für Germanistik – einen Vortrag über Werk und Wirken von Georg Trakl. „Eine Herzensangelegenheit“, wie Ao.Univ.-Prof. Dr.i.R. Kurt Bartsch, ein Schüler Dopplers, im Rahmen der Einleitung hervorhob und an die „brillant didaktisch vorbereiteten und rhetorisch präsentierten“ Lehrveranstaltungen erinnerte.
Alfred Doppler habilitierte an der Uni Graz in den 1960er-Jahren und war, bevor er einen Ruf an die Uni Innsbruck annahm, außerordentlicher Professur für Neuere deutsche Sprache und Literatur an der Karl-Franzens-Universität.

Around the world in eight stops: the Long Night of Research at the University of Graz

On 24 April from 5 pm, you can take a short trip around the globe at the University of Graz, discovering pecularities of foreign countries or new local features in the entrance hall of the University Library.
