Neue Ausgabe von „Science & Cinema“: Filme mit religiösen Inhalten im Check durch Theologen Christian Wessely

Science & Cinema – eine im Vorjahr gestartete Veranstaltungsreihe der 7. fakultät – unternimmt eine wissenschaftliche Nahaufnahme von populären Filmen aus Hollywood und Co. Im Gespräch mit WissenschafterInnen wird anhand von Filmausschnitten der Wahrheitsgehalt der dargestellten Inhalte im Rechbauerkino unter die Lupe genommen.

Nach zwei „Blockbuster“-Events zu Filmen über Superhelden und zum Mittelalter steht am 30. November 2017 eine neue Ausgabe von Science & Cinema – mit Unterstützung der Bank Austria – auf dem Programm: Film ab zu Leinwandstreifen mit religiösen Inhalten!

Wie schaut es im Himmel und in der Hölle aus? War Judas doch der treuste Jünger Jesu? In welchen Drehbüchern verstecken sich biblische Motive? Bei einer neuen Ausgabe von „Science & Cinema“ werden Filme mit religiösen Inhalten unter die Lupe genommen. Fundamentaltheologe Ao.Univ.-Prof. Dr. Christian Wessely und Dr. Fritz Treiber unterziehen Filme zu religiösen Stories einem Check. Zu sehen sind unter anderem Ausschnitte aus folgenden Filmen: Exodus: Götter und Könige / Noah / Die letzte Versuchung Christi / Stigmata / Der blutige Pfad Gottes / Das Lied von Bernadette

“HeinrichBiCool”: University of Graz demonstrates the effects of green facades and roofs

The University of Graz has launched a pioneering project at the University Centre for Theology. Its name, “HeinrichBiCool”, says it all: a comprehensive system of green facades and roof will cool the building at Heinrichstraße 80 during the summer. At the same time, this will create a new habitat for plants and animals, helping to increase biodiversity. The accompanying monitoring programme will provide detailed data on the impact of the measures on indoor climate, energy consumption and biodiversity. The findings will lay a scientifically sound foundation for further projects aimed at making cities sustainable, climate-resilient and liveable. The partners in this project, funded by the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG), are AEE INTEC – Institute for Sustainable Technologies, Technisches Büro Siegfried Stark, the landscape architecture and urban planning firm “studio boden”, and Ökoteam Graz.
