Uni Graz sucht nach Kandidaten für Wort und Unwort

Kein Herbst in Österreich ohne Wahl zum Wort und Unwort des Jahres. Auch heuer sucht Initiator Prof. Dr. Rudolf Muhr vom Forschungszentrum für Österreichisches Deutsch an der Universität Graz nach Wörtern und Sprüchen aus dem Alltags-, Medien-und Politikgeschehen, die das Jahr 2017 in Österreich maßgeblich bestimmt haben. Im Vorjahr machten „Bundespräsidentenstich-wahlwiederholungsverschiebung“ (Wort des Jahres) sowie „Öxit“ (Unwort) das Rennen.

„Die Wahl soll die Leute zum Nachdenken anregen, was in der Gesellschaft passiert. Und nebenbei wird das Bewusstsein sowohl für die eigene als auch die politische Sprache geschärft“, erklärt Rudolf Muhr. Tipp möchte der Linguist noch keinen geben, heiße KandidatInnen vor allem für das Unwort könnten aber aus dem Umfeld des Wahlkampfes rund um die Nationalratswahl kommen. Gesucht wird auch nach Sprüchen und dem Jugendwort.

Vorwahl bis zum 25.Oktober 2017
Bis 25. Oktober 2017 können noch mögliche Kandidatenwörter online über die Webseite http://www.oewort.at eingereicht werden. Dann tagt eine Jury.

Wahl ab dem 27.Oktober 2017
Ab dem 27. Oktober 2017 wird dann online abgestimmt. Aus allen Einsendungen wählt die Jury in zwei Auswahlsitzungen das entsprechende Wort und Unwort des Jahres. Das Endergebnis wird am 07. Dezember 2017 via Austria Presse Agentur veröffentlicht.
