Geistesblitz mit Sportsgeist: Studierende der Universität Graz sind sowohl im Hörsaal als auch in der Wettkampfarena erfolgreich. Paul Espernberger gewann bei den European Universities Games 2022 in Lodz (Polen) beim Schwimmbewerb 200 Meter Delfin die Silbermedaille.
Bei den europäischen Uni-Meisterschaften, die am 30. Juli zu Ende gegangen sind, waren insgesamt 5000 AthletInnen von mehr als 400 Universitäten aus 40 Ländern am Start.
„Die größte Unterstützung ist meine Familie, vor allem meine Eltern, die mich auch finanziell unterstützen. Natürlich geht erfolgreicher Sport nicht ohne einen Trainer, der dich fordert und fördert, somit ist auch mein aktueller Coach, Jakub Maly, eine großartige Unterstützung“, jubelte Espernberger.
