First-hand experience: Nino Molinaro made a successful start to his studies with Welcome Week

On 3 October, he starts the third semester of his Bachelor's degree in Physics. Nino Molinaro now knows the University of Graz like the back of his hand. A year ago today, however, things were very different.

"The Welcome Weeks really helped me to find my way around the university and paved the way for my studies," remembers the Leibnitzer from September last year. "I took part in a few online sessions, such as how to register for courses. Because at the beginning, you're faced with some unfamiliar systems," confirms the physics student. He also has fond memories of the campus tour. "After that, I was able to orientate myself much better on the university campus."

In addition to the helpful information, Nino Molinaro has fond memories of the social events. "I went to the PPC party and took part in the Mario Kart tournament. I got to know new people who are still firmly anchored in my study group."

He has long since been joined by other colleagues, and he also works as a counsellor at the 4students study information service and now supports first-semester students himself. What tip does Nino Molinaro have for future students: "Make sure you stop by the Welcome Weeks, and the events for the individual degree programmes are also definitely worthwhile."
