Barfuß Fußball spielen: 19 Teams traten bei einem Turnier vor der Universität Graz an

In Russland rittern die großen Fußballnationen der Welt gerade um den WM-Titel. In Graz geht es ein bisschen beschaulicher zu. Am Forschungscampus der Universität Graz wird einmal im Jahr "barfuß" Fußball gespielt. 19 Teams, die teilweise aus ProfessorInnen und Studierenden bestehen, traten am 15. Juni 2018 in einem ausgeklügelten Wettkampf-System gegeneinander an. Der Anpfiff für das erste Spiel war pünktlich um zwölf Uhr mittags, angestoßen wurde der Ball von Vizerektor Martin Polaschek, der im Namen des gesamten Rektorates das Turnier eröffnete. "Abwechslung gehört zum Uni-Alltag dazu", freute sich Christoph Hofstätter, Jurist an der Rechtswissenschaftlichen Fakultät, über die rege Teilnahme. Warum barfuß? "Tja, dann wird absichtlich weniger gefoult", erklärt der Fußballfan. Gespielt wurde bis in den späten Nachmittag hinein, am Ende gab es nur echte SiegerInnen.
