Kooperation zwischen Graz und Montclair seit 1950. Filmteam zu Gast an der Uni Graz

Mehr als 50 Jahre Partnerschaft: Die Städte Graz und Montclair, New Jersey (USA), sind auf unterschiedlichen Ebenen miteinander verbunden - auch in Sachen Studierendenaustausch. Aus diesem Grund verschlug es Steve McCarthy, Professor an der School of Communication and Media von der Montclair State University und zwei seiner Studierenden, sowie Jessica Eucker, die 2010/11 als Austauschstudentin in Graz war, an die Uni Graz, um unter anderem eine Dokumentation über die Geschichte der Kooperation zwischen Uni Graz und der amerikanischen Montclair State University zu drehen.

Der Studierendenaustausch ist ein bedeutender Teil dieser langjährigen Kooperation. Outgoing und incoming Studierende bekommen ein Stipendium über diese Städtepartnerschaft. Interviewt wurden Uni Graz-Rektorin Christa Neuper, Univ.-Prof. Dr. Roberta Maierhofer sowie aktuelle und ehemalige Austauschstudierende. Das Filmteam hat auch die Gelegenheit genutzt und beim Multikulti-Ball bunte Impressionen eingefangen.
