All in one app: youni brings the university to your smartphone

youni - the app for students at the University of Graz - can do more than other student apps. It is a student card, printing and copying card, library card and key to learning zones. Students can also use the QR code to easily check in for exams.

Printer and copy card

youni is very good with printers and photocopiers. In addition, students can always see their current print balance in the "Börserl". If it runs low, youni forwards you directly to uniFLOW. The credit can be topped up there - without any extra trips.

Key

With youni, the doors to learning areas and workspaces are open. For example, if you want to access the 24/7 learning zone and have forgotten your student ID, you can use youni to unlock electronic locks.

Student card and library card

The student card is important for exams, also for obtaining discounts and is sometimes even accepted as a form of ID. The card is automatically renewed each semester as soon as students register for further studies.
youni is also a library card, which is required for borrowing books.

For NAWI Graz and teacher training students

Some NAWI Graz and teacher training students are so-called co-borrowers. With youni, they can use more services than before: They can open electronic door locks in laboratories and learning zones or log in to printers at the University of Graz.

youni is available free of charge in the Apple Store and Google Play.

Cosmetics in the environment: University of Graz proves danger to ants

Titanium dioxide, which is found in cosmetics, for example, is increasingly entering the environment in the form of nanoparticles. This could also put insects at risk. If ants ingest the substance in combination with the pesticide glyphosate, it disturbs the development of their offspring. Scientists at the University of Graz are drawing attention to the negative consequences of this toxic cocktail.
