Premiere für AbsolventInnen von NAWI Graz: Uni Graz und TU Graz verleihen nun akademische Grade gemeinsam

Es war eine feierliche Premiere, die am 2. Juli 2015 in der Aula der Karl-Franzens-Universität über die Bühne ging. Erstmals haben Uni Graz und TU Graz im Rahmen ihrer naturwissenschaftlichen Kooperation NAWI Graz einen gemeinsamen Festakt durchgeführt und akademische Titel damit gemeinsam verliehen.
Master of Science sind die fünf JungakdemikerInnen, die eines von insgesamt 18 interuniversitären NAWI Graz-Studien absolvierten. Das Besondere von NAWI Graz: Man studiert an beiden Universitäten und wählt auch die/den BetreuerIn für die Masterarbeit von einer der beiden Institutionen, ohne die zulassende Universität wechseln zu müssen. So haben zwei der fünf KandidatInnen ihre Masterarbeit an der TU Graz verfasst.
Die Feier unter dem Vorsitz von Dekan Karl Crailsheim (Uni Graz), Vizestudiendekanin Ursula Athenstaedt (Uni Graz), Rudolf Bauer (Uni Graz) und Vizestudiendekan Günther Daum (TU Graz) war zugleich Startschuss für weitere gemeinsame NAWI Graz-Graduierungsfeiern.

Career Booster: How the Research Careers Campus supports researchers

They are innovative, creative and productive – researchers who have not yet been appointed to a professorship make a massive contribution to a university’s research output. To provide them with even better support on their career path, the University of Graz has established the Research Careers Campus. The official launch took place on 22 April 2026 with a ‘festival’.
