Erasmus+ Stipendium wird um bis zu 20 Prozent erhöht

Gute Nachrichten für alle, die einen Erasmus+ Studienaufenthalt oder ein Praktikum planen: Eine Erhöhung des Stipendiums um 60 Euro ab dem Studienjahr 2019/20 wurde vom Bundesministerium für Bildung, Wissenschaft und Forschung (BMBWF) in Zusammenarbeit mit dem österreichischen Austauschdienst (OeAD) beschlossen. Je nach Land wird die Unterstützung ab dem kommenden Studienjahr also zwischen 360 und 460 Euro pro Monat betragen, was eine Steigerung von bis zu 20 Prozent bedeutet. Das Stipendium steht allen Studierenden zur Verfügung, die im Rahmen von Erasmus+ einen Studienaufenthalt innerhalb von Europa und der Türkei absolvieren.

Auch Praktika erhalten mehr Zuschüsse
Praktika, die in einem Erasmus+ Programmland absolviert werden, bekommen in Zukunft ebenfalls eine erhöhte monatliche Unterstützung, die sich zwischen 460 und 560 Euro bewegt.

Anreiz für Auslandsaufenthalt bei finanzieller Benachteiligung
Die Erhöhung der Beträge ist vor allem als zusätzlicher Anreiz für Studierende mit finanzieller Benachteiligung gedacht. StudienbeihilfenbezieherInnen können im Rahmen eines Erasmus+ Aufenthaltes neben dem Stipendium zusätzlich eine „Beihilfe für das Auslandsstudium“ bei der Studienbeihilfenbehörde beantragen.

Für Interessierte gibt es außerdem eine Informationsveranstaltung, in der alle Fragen zum Thema Auslandsaufenthalt beantwortet werden. Diese findet am Montag, 3. Juni 2019, ab 13 Uhr im HS 04.01 (Universitätsplatz 4, EG) statt.

Chemical Christmas show at the University of Graz: An explosive evening at the Schauspielh

At the beginning of December, the University of Graz transformed the theater into a laboratory: as part of “Chemical Life,” teacher training students staged a chemical Christmas show for Styrian school classes—complete with ethanol rockets, nitrogen snow, and glowing effects. Train by train: Koralm railway accelerates exchange between the Universities

Lectures at the University of Klagenfurt in the morning, seminars at the University of Graz in the afternoon: Austria's longest tunnel and a journey time of around 45 minutes make it easy. The Koralm railway increases the speed of networking between the two university locations. The collaboration builds on existing cooperation - for example in the areas of teacher training, Slavic studies and as employers, the universities are well coordinated.
