Die Science Busters gastierten zum Semesterauftakt an der Universität Graz

Was hat die Titanic mit Hautcreme gemeinsam? Und warum ist der Leib Christi nur bedingt glutenfrei? Antworten auf Fragen, die noch nie jemand gestellt hat, beantworteten die Science Busters am 8. Oktober 2018 in der Aula der Universität Graz. Master of Ceremony Martin Puntigam kitzelte aus Kabarett-Kollege Gunkl Günther Paal, Verhaltensbiologin Elisabeth Oberzaucher und Helmut Jungwirth, Molekularbiologe und Professor für Wissenschaftskommunikation an der Uni Graz, schräge Fakten aus der Welt der Wissenschaft.

Unter dem Motto „Wer nichts weiß, muss alles glauben“ setzten die Science Busters ein Statement für die Forschung und begeisterten ihr Publikum mit humorvoller Aufklärung über unvermutete Zusammenhänge ... damit alternative Fakten keine Chance haben.

Die Show fand auf Einladung der 7. fakultät, des Zentrums für Gesellschaft, Wissen und Kommunikation der Universität Graz, statt.

The Austrian Science Fund FWF has selected the Doctoral Programme in Theoretical Particle Physics at the University of Graz for funding from the Doc.funds. Six young scientists will be funded for 3.5 years. They will gain fundamentally new insights into the origins of the world.

From trans women and knee prostheses: sports science prizes awarded

Walking better with a prosthesis, successfully getting rid of excess weight, training more effectively, more fairness for trans people in sport: these were the topics addressed by the students at the University of Graz who were awarded the sports science prizes for their Master's theses on 3 December 2025.
